I have it outlined quite simply in the SOP, see below:

2.5.13 PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

XXXXX has a product design & development procedure for new product and changes to products or manufacturing processes to ensure safety and legality of products produced. NOTE: This procedure applies only to XXXX brand products. Private label products are subjects to brand owner standards and product development procedures. Product development procedures include the following, if necessary:

  • Evaluation of impact of the change on FSMS taking into account any new food safety hazards introduced, if any, and updating the hazard analysis accordingly, if necessary
  • Consideration of impact, if any, on the process flow for a new product and existing products and processes
  • Resources and training, if needed
  • Equipment and maintenance requirements
  •  The need to conduct plant trial, including shelf life study, to validate that product formulation and processes are capable of producing a safe product and meet customer requirements

Hi @sutha,

I don't think it is possible to buy only one part of the package.

Hi sutha & Sandhyarashmi,

Sorry for the delay in responding to this (sutha)

The packages are only sold as a whole, there is no mechanism to sell separately.

If you only want the development portion and some guidance on development then a cheaper option is via e-consultancy

Kind regards,

Tony

Hi Basnayaka; Sorry, I don't get your question: are you asking if it's OK for external audits? Then - yes, it is, provided that you're doing what's written in your program or SOP.
