Hello all, we are a low risk popcorn manufacturer and our company is thinking about transferring to doing our laundry in house. Is there certain procedures, protocols, or testing that we need. I assume there is a clause to this. If anyone can help it would be great! Thanks

Are you operating under a specific standard?

BRC Version 8.

Yes we would like to potentially put in a washer and dryer but are unsure of the protocol we would need for that. I assume we would need a special detergent and would have to do an effectiveness test at least annually.

There are various threads here on this topic including BRC. The typical consensus is don't do it - reason -  validation inconveniences involved.
