Hi all! I was wondering whether someone can help me with examples of PRP monitoring (not verification)? Just wondering whether there are suitable monitoring activities for all the usual PRPs, and if so, could someone share some examples? Construction and layout, Layout of premises and workspace, Utilities, Waste disposal, Equipment suitability, cleaning and maintenance, Management of purchased materials, Measures for prevention of cross contamination, Personnel hygiene and employee facilities, Rework, Storage and warehousing. Any other relevant PRPs. Thank you!

Greetings Monica,

There are two types of monitoring that can be performed for PRP, measurable and observable and examples are as follows:

Measurable are the analyses reports from swab tests for Cleaning & Sanitation and for Personal Hygiene, the trend analysis for consuption/captures for Pest Control, ATP or protein-swab for allergens for Cross-contamination etc.

Observable are records of internal inspections for integrity of Construction & Layout and Equipement suitability, cleaning records from the responsible for overseeing if they are completed, tracking records for Rework etc.

Monitroring is related to verification cause through the former you get results for the latter and its ongoing suitability/compliance. The word you might wanted to use in the parenthesis might be validation, cause this kind of stands apart as it derives from scientific data, experience, guidances, legislation etc and shows that the monitoring measures you have set for the verification process are suitable.

Regards.
