Dear Community. I have a friend who runs his own coffee roasting business from his home, his garage was transformed into a roasting room which was inspected by the Illinois health inspector, all is good. I have another friend who wants to the same with pickled vegetables in a brine. Any advice on what he will need to set up his home pickled vegetable business. In advance I thank you for any comments and advice

Yes, a scheduled process from a reputable source

While pickled veg are generally safe, they still need to be processed correctly, following a proper recipe, and processing (i/e hot water bath) times

What state are you in? The local extension office should be able to help you with this. They can get you in touch with someone from your state land grant university. This would most likely fall under your states cottage food law requirements.
