Hi, got a case where a client tested our product and found Enterobacteriaceae contamination. Conducted our investigations and all our hygiene controls are in place. Did our swabs on employees hand and food contact surfaces and no contamination found. Tested our shelf life sample and product conforming. Anybody to help with corrective action and further areas to check?

Send a your product sample to the lab to confirm the results. Your client's testing might show a lab error or mishandling, so it must be verified with 3rd party lab.

Hi Inkiema,

Note that for many food products the presence/detection of Enterobacteriaceae is not abnormal. The analytical/quantitative details are  relevant.

The significance, if any, for yr product will depend on the context, eg specification/numerical results/ analytical procedure/product (type/presentation/process) etc.
