Hi, what do you make of this question (from a audit) Verification (2.12.1)

  • Are verification activities detailed in the Food Safety/HACCP Plan?  These should include things like internal audits, complaints and incidents reviews. (Reference document and version.) What can I do as I have a NON CONFORMACE for this!

Ok..

Do you not:

  • perform internal audits,
    • which should generate incidents and
  • subsequent review/correction of said incidents
  • have a customer complaint program

If the answer to any of the above is 'no, I don't,' then you create and implement them.

Have a section in your HACCP scope/methodology or whatever you call it to describe your verification activities

The NC you linked was "Food Safety/HACCP Plan." Do you have these things referenced in a quality or food safety plan? If so, that would still meet their expectations. It doesn't have to be on the HACCP plan, and depending on how your QMS is set up, you might not want to put that on there.

Edit: It's a bit of an oversimplification of your end goal, but I don't want to toss too much info at you if you already have this in your QMS or FSP. All it needs to do is reference that you have it in there, and where to find the PnP covering it.

Hi

Please take a look at the attached.

Would this not cover it off?

it's a nice summary, but unless that doc is referenced somewhere in your plan, it is still a NC

Do you have a verification schedule or some such thing where you can add these activities?
