We have a product that is sold as a singular unit, with 9 pieces in three (3packs) but the 3 packs can be separated into individual 3 pack units. the question is do the three (3pack) units need to be individually lot coded. My feeling is yes they do. Any thought on this, this is a bakery product.

Do you mean the 3-pack can be separated into individual pieces before sale? As in, a customer can purchase each piece individually?

Hi Chris,
Quite often multi-packs are sold with a “not to be sold separately” statement on the pack, even so, it is good practice to ensure all items that have the potential to be sold separately lot coded.
