My company is going to be doing a demo at a local grocery store in a couple weeks.

The question has been asked if the office staff that attend the demo will need food handlers card?

The display samples will be prepared at our facility the day before the demo and will be kept on ice during the demo.

We will have disposable gloves and won't be preparing the food at the store, just handing it out in sample containers.

Greetings Miss Frankie,

No the office stuff don't need food handlers card, since the food is gonna be ready to be handed out in containers and since this is a promo/marketing thing.

It could be needed if you gave away for sampling something like cheese, cutting it straight out from the barrel/container and handing it out.

Regards!

For the state food code - you wouldn't need a food handlers card. The county/city food code is what I would check on. Though you probably won't need food handler cards since you are giving samples away for free.
