Hi,

 

I hope someone can help?

 

Please take a look at the attached audit task, this is being put together for new starters- and also as part of current employees refresher training.  What I am asking for is some help deciding on what are the non-conformances and what severity are they in this fictitious site audit - critical, major or minor and then what you would classify the site as?

 

If you can pop your answers on the attached and return to me that would be great.

Did you have a specific GFSI scheme in mind for this mock audit to be held against, or just general food safety?

 

I went through with a broad expectation from my history (I'm not a professional auditor, but I've run internal audit programs and consulted companies through GFSI's).  I made a few observations in highlighted in blue where some might find a n/c, through I'd be inclined to allow depending on how the programs are written.

 

From your non-conformity scale, I scored 5 majors (highlighted reply in yellow) and 6 minors (highlighted green).  Couple majors could be escalated to critical (but I would need more information).  Based on your classifications, the audit is a Red - Unsatisfactory.

 

Fun exercise for me to take a break on while I work on my monthly reporting, thanks for posting.

Hi jfrey,

 

Many thanks for your cooperation on this.  To be fair it is really an assessment of the new starters/current colleagues knowledge so not based upon or assessed against a particular GSFI scheme, it is indeed to just see their understanding of general food safety.  

 

This will help me as well to see if there are similarities or differences in outcomes from others perspectives, so this will really benefit all in my organisation. 

 

Finally, I am glad it was a bit of fun and broke up your day for you and thanks once again for your response.
