Hello,

We just got a new digital refractometer and was wondering if we need a validation from the company or if we need a validation at all?

It came with a calibration certificate.

Thank you.

Is the calibration "certificate" a COC or a COA ?

Kind Regards,

I would assume any validation you've done previously established that refractometry in general can accurately provide the information you need to make decisions.

The specific instrument will just need calibration to some range under a previously established standard.  The manufacturer's certificate could serve this purpose, depending on what your program specifies.
