Hello!

I've actually be here for a while, (2nd profile as I lost my first one when I left my long-time job a couple years ago) but I recently took a new position at a new facility.

Going from seafood-based plants to a meat alternative plant and going from SQF to BRC. So, I may have questions about the differences.

Our facility is owned by a company in Canada.  They run a plant up there and I'm in the process of adapting all their procedures to fit our US plant. We're hoping to start production in March or early April.

The best part is, it's only 12 miles from my house!  I'm going from an hour+ commute to 15-20 minutes.  I'm gaining nearly 1 1/2 hours a day and going from filling up my car weekly to every other week. BONUS!!!

BRC and SQF are very similar in most senses.   In general I find BRC to be more prescriptive while SQF offers a little more flexibility.  I dont buy that one is easier or harder than the other.  They are  just a little different.

Welcome back Miss Frankie,

Sounds like a good move.

Good luck,
