Hi all,

We've recently moved to a new online training platform and are looking to put some of our warehouse staff through a level 2 food hygiene course but aren't sure which option to go with. The courses on offer are for catering, retail or manufacturing but none of them seem right for what we do (s+d of chilled goods, fresh produce, bakery items).

It feels to me that retail might be the closest in terms of the processes undertaken but we aren't retailers and I'd imagine a lot of the regs and techniques taught in the course may be irrelevant to our staff.

Just wondering what everyone's take is on this. I've contacted the training provider for their thoughts but am yet to hear back.

Thanks,

Andy

There is a company based in the UK who have a range of online courses tailored to specific industries and they have one for storage and distribution. They are interactive and are excellent, well worth a look.

Hope that helps

It's great that you're focusing on the training of warehouse employees. There a number of risks with buying off the shelf training products. Before jumping into the sea of online training programs have a clear understanding of what your business training needs are and what form of training methodology will work best for you and the learning styles of your employees.
