Historically, the Member of the Month (MOTM) has been chosen by Admin, but we believe it’s time for our community to have a say in who deserves this honor. Starting this month, the MOTM will be determined by the reputation points awarded by members throughout the month.

You can see the reputation system in action in this short clip.

The image provided shows how the points accumulate for the month on the admin side.

Attached File  Reputation.png   54.43KB   0 downloads

On the last day of each month, we will select the Member of the Month based on who has received the most reputation points.

How to Award Reputation Points:

  • Members can award reputation points to each other based on contributions, helpfulness, and positive engagement.
  • Remember to consider specific criteria such as supportiveness, knowledge-sharing, and overall community spirit.

Let’s celebrate our outstanding members together!

Kind Regards,

Simon

Sounds good Simon.

Should the amount of times someone can be Member of the Month be limited to once per year so that the prize is shared around more?

I'd be done for this year but January isn't far away

Kind regards,

Tony

You got two reputation points for this reply!

Maybe, I think we'll see how it goes, maybe max twice a year?

I'm sure that Simon will listen to suggestions GMO.

As I said in post 4: Should the amount of times someone can be Member of the Month be limited to once per year so that the prize is shared around more?

The idea was that the MOTM was selected by the members, instead of by me, which on the face of it is a much more equitable method. The issue is you are too good, and too helpful GMO, and this scenario was never expected. The good news your charity is receiving funds.  I'm happy to switch it up, based on all of your feedback.

Kind Regards,

Simon

I'm happy to duck out for the rest of the year.  You could still keep the method you've chosen Simon but go to the second person if someone has already received it?
