Dear all,

I have collected 250mL of water and 1mL of this water has been transfered to hygiena MicroSnap™ Coliform or E. coli as per the Hygiena instructions to detect coliform in the water sample. After incubation, it has been measured using hygiena luminometer and the result was 12cfu of coliform. My question is should this be reported as 12cfu/1mL  (considering the portion of sample transfered to the microsnap) or 12cfu/250mL (considering the orginal sample)?

Typically the result is related to the measured amount used in testing, so 12 cfu/1ml.
