Well, it's official, two strikes and you're out!  I will no longer be buying any product from Taylor Farms

Years ago as a 3rd part Auditor for a supermarket chain I visited Taylor Farms facility and saw things that even made my jaw drop - and that is pretty hard to do.

Looking back, it's funny, but every Friday as I was sitting in an airport waiting to fly home once again my wife and I had a conversation about the food companies I had inspected and what items she should take off her shopping list.

I remember one week telling her about Taylor and her pulling their name off her shopping list that represented a lot of salads etc every week... ever since then there has been more than enough reason to not buy anything from them.

Agree with the 2 strikes, geez this is not going to be fun for Taylor Farms, millions in lawsuit payouts!

Recalls are trending in the very wrong direction,  it has not been this bad in quite a while-I'm talking years

Look out for cucumbers from Mexico:

@Scampi agreed, getting an alert every week on average about another recall is getting out of hand.

I worked for a fresh cut produce processor in the past and that was the most stressful quality management position that I have ever had.

Environmental monitoring alone contributed to the majority of that stress. I am not a fan of pre-cut/processed produce and I will never be.

Same.  Been working 3 years for a corp that does fresh cut produce in multiple different facilities.  I had been just running some data analytics for the plants and corporate QA team, and they thought it'd be a good idea to transition me into the supplier approval role back in Sept of this year.

I'm starting to regret the move.  It's been trial by fire and a lot of learning how little visibility we have on our supply chains.

I hear that...years ago in RTE meats we introduced a slicing line. After a few months' enviro monitoring I came to the conclusion that I wanted nothing RTE involving blades. Glad I'm not in that industry.

I worked for Maple Leaf at the time of that recall---------it was hell on earth   and that is why I'm so passionate about this topic AND this forum      so many people and worse, companies, doing a shit job of maintaining any level of food safety

GFSI's have made it much worse, everyone is managing their plant to pass the audit, instead of actually managing food safety

Yes I saw that, I buy very little fresh produce from November until April as it comes from too far afield for my liking

I haven't seen a quantity of material affected in any of the notices.  How 'massive' is it?

For a Canadian recall, it's massive Ontario is the most populated province

What really pi***** me off , is once again, this company has NOT put a statement on their website!

This company has always needed some serious help.

At least 1 confirmed death from the onions. Such a shame.

5/28/2022- Trader Joes Salads (Allergens/Misbranding)

https://www.fda.gov/...der-joes-lemony

3/13/2024- Kroger Salad Bowl (Allergens/Misbranding)

https://www.fsis.usd...cken-salad-bowl

10/22/2024- McDonald's Onions (E. coli)

https://www.fda.gov/...ns-october-2024

12/3/2024- Kale Salad (Salmonella)

https://recalls-rapp...-due-salmonella

Taylor Farms should hire 5 people off this forum and turn them loose in their company.

They could pay each person $400k a year and it would still cost less than these recalls...
