Then the first step is to get the relevant documents, the FSSC 22000 certification scheme is based on ISO 22000, relevant prerequisite programs (PRPs) and FSSC 22000 Additional Requirements Version 6.0 as described below.
You will need to purchase the following as they are copyrighted and cannot be shared by members:
- ISO 22000:2018 - Food safety management systems — Requirements for any organization in the food chain
- Relevant prerequisite programs (PRPs) based on technical specifications for the sector (e.g., ISO/TS 22002-x; PAS xyz) For Example ISO/TS 22002-1:2009 Prerequisite programmes on food safety Part 1: Food manufacturing

FSSC Guidance documents are also available to assist with implementing and managing the FSSC 22000 Certification, including interpretation of other Scheme documents and can be downloaded here
