Thanks As Nur. I have found an interesting reading by John Surak and Tatiana Lorca on “ Process Auditing for Food Safety”.

:welcome: to the forum amalraj!

As Jean says "HACCP checklist should basically cover the pre-requisites & 7 principles of HACCP". Prerequisite means GMP (Good hygiene practices) or GHP (Good Hygiene Practices). ISO 22000 calls them PRP's. These include mainly hygienic infrastruture and environment, utility management, cleaning and sanitation, prevention against cross contamination, personnel hygiene and pest control. In short, when you are going to make a HACCP checklist, you should cover checkpoints related to:
1- all these areas plus
2- your haccp study or haccp plan.

IMO, the best HACCP checklist can be made with following guidelines:
Use PDCA-approach. Auditors generally use this approach to prepare audit checklists. An example is as follows:

Lets suppose XYZ is one of your critical processes:

P - Whether planned arrangements and necessary documentation are available
at the point of use for XYZ process?
- Whether process XYZ inputs, outputs and related resources are defined?
- Whether planned arrangements exist in case of failure of controls related to
for XYZ process?

D - Whether XYZ process is being implemented as required or specified?

C - Whether XYZ process outputs are being checked w.r.t. established criteria or
defined process paramenters?

A - Whether appropriate actions (corrections+corrective action) are being taken
in case of unsatisfactory results or deviated outputs of XYZ process?
- Whether planned arrangements and documentation is reviewed in case of
unsatisfactory results or deviated outputs of XYZ process?

Below there are some links where you can find useful information and guidelines to prepare your checklist.

http://www.gmp1st.com/fdauch3.htm

Attached are two documents (probably found within IFSQN).
Attached File  NFPA_Food_Safety_Audit_Checklist.doc   357KB   238 downloads
Attached File  Self_Inspection_Checklist_for_Food_and_Beverage_Industry.pdf   154.49KB   253 downloads

(Slightly off-topic: I recommend you to title your checklist as "Food Safety Checklist", as it should cover HACCP+GMP. If you titled your checklist as "HACCP Checklist", it may confined the thoughts to HACCP principles only  )

@ Jean: Thank you for sharing such a nice document. :smarty:

Regards:
Zeeshan.
