An ancient Chinese proverb teaches that the person who waits for a roast duck to fly into their mouth must wait a very long time.

'To date, 22 Closure Orders have been served on food businesses and hopefully over the next four months that figure will remain below last year's total of 42 Closure Orders served. Closure Orders are served when there are serious legal infringements and standards have fallen so low that the public's health has been put at risk. All food businesses must adhere to best food safety and hygiene practices in their premises. Consumers have to be confident that the food they purchase is safe to eat. Food businesses that neglect food safety and put their customers' health at risk will not be tolerated and risk being closed down until such a time as they have implemented the correct food safety procedures,' he said."
