That should not be a problem but you will need to show that sand filtration is effective and working on an ongoing basis. You will need to have relevant limits, monitoring procedures, records, corrective actions and define responsbility/authority for these.

Tony

Hi Carine

What do you use the water for?

I would check water clarity by something more technical than visual. Why not pass though filter paper?

Every 3 days doesn't seem enough plus Corrective action - what could have happened in the previous 3 days when the filter might not have been working?

Regards,

Tony

Dear Tony -C:

The water is for me to make ice. now i face the problem is, this filtration process step not a significant hazard after gone through the hazard rating matrix, if i consider it as a oPRP seem like not a logical approach. i understood that the logical sequence when there is a signicant hazard, then contol it through either oPRP or CCP, am i right?? what do u think??

If you have no further filtration then sand filtration is a ccp.

Kind regards,

Tony
