Dear All..

Our Company has certified BRC for Packaging issue 3, This year BRC release BRC issue 4 for packaging and packaging material... should I update and follow the issue 4 ? what critical area or clause in issue 4 ? What the diffrent between Issue 3 and 4?

Simon has given a summary of the principle differences.

I have not yest been on the BRC update course (next week) , but I am attaching my own summary of the differences between the versions and the High and Low Risk categories. Its a bit lengthy I am afraid as I was using it as the basis for some training.

It is based upon how the clauses have been worded but you need to be aware that there is a lot of scope for variations in how they are interpreted, particularly in the Low Hygiene Risk category where it seems to me that a lot of the requirements have been substantially down graded
