Hi there,

The guideline should be available from April 2012.

If you enter your e-mail address on the page here you will get notification when it is available.

For those of you still awaiting the guideline; there's a good document on here which I suspect will form part of the guideline document:

http://www.brcglobal...s/Food/FAQ.aspx

That page itself isn't very informative but scroll down to where it says "For the full list of Frequently asked questions click here"

...at the bottom and click where it says "click here". It starts off with general questions but then there are some clause by clause specific things. A lot of useful stuff in there, some where I realised I was going too far; others where I realised I wasn't going far enough.

Sorry. I'm not on here every minute of every day... If I missed it, maybe others did? Seeing as no-one else attached it to this thread and it contains several things which might be in the guidance document, I thought it might be helpful.

I guess I'll take my help elsewhere. FFS.

Dear GMO,

I think you misinterpreted my post.

I meant other people.

Was a "thank-you", not a criticism. I am rarely negative to assistance (I hope) .

PS - FFS is a new one.

Let me see I have this correct:

You publish a standard in the middle of 2011 that will take effect for audits commencing in January 2012.
You publish an interpretation guide for the standard a full year after publishing the standard.

Wouldn't you think that you would know how to interpret the standard when the standard was published?

My thoughts exactly!
And there doesn't seem to be much offered in training on Issue 6 in my part of the country (NY).

Nice way of making some extra cash by charging for the guidance rather than supplying it with the standard.

And yes much too........ late

Dear Mr BRC. I was going to have my audit yesterday, I know I've been saying I would and I put it on my website but yesterday I decided I didn't really understand the standard so I'm changing the audit; I put it on my website and I plan to do it at the end of July instead.

(That might change though. I'd keep looking at my website just in case.)

Thought that would be ok. Posted Image

Posting to youself for the sake of posting?

I have looked at some of your earlier posts and I'm not impressed - though you seem to think this sort of thing is clever, I think you owe Charles an apology.

http://www.internets...-definition.asp

Along the lines of your of some of your other posts, but have a bit of respect, this is not a shop floor bod, it is someone who has over 4,000 posts.

In ten years of being online this forum has become know for the courtesy and respect members extend to each other. This is rare and fantastic in the world of discussion forums and we can be proud of it. Let’s keep it that way please.

I would be grateful if further posts in this thread and all threads remain “on topic” and respectful.

Thanks,

This is so confusing. I received an email from TSO Bookshop on Tuesday saying that the Interpretation Guide is now available, but when I go to the website to order it still says publication is July 30. I tried emailing them but got no reply. Does anyone know for sure if it's been published?
