I am the Technical Manager of an abattoir/processing plant.  Employees in the abattoir wear wellingtons, for obvious reasons, but those in the cutting/processing plant prefer to wear shoes.

Currently we supply the standard white 'wipeable' coated leather shoes with protected toe-caps, but these are not really 'washable', as within no time at all scrubbing them in the boot wash reduces them to a visual mess and they need replacing every 3 or 4 months due to this problem.

Does anyone know of a truly washable shoe which I guess would be similar to a wellington boot cut off at the ankle, or just above?  It must have protected toe-cap, which rules out any gardening/farming 'wellington-like' shoes I've seen.

I have spent hours on Google and the like, with no success - I just can't believe that no manufacturer has produced something suitable for similar food processing use!?

Hoping someone out there has seen just the job......!!??

Yes, that sounds (and looks) similar to the US shoes, Crocs.

Yep but not too easy to clean in a boot wash. Sounds like a company policy enforcing the use of 'full wellingtons' is in order.
