Other than this great forum, has anyone found a one, all accompanying source that updates for the various food safety regulations and law changes? Somewhere I can find all the information for any given region or country?

I have found this one useful

http://www.efsa.euro.../aboutefsa.htm'

But for most other individual countries it gets a bit trickier.

you could try this....

FAOLEX is a comprehensive and up-to-date legislative database, one of the world's largest electronic collection of national laws and regulations on food, agriculture and renewable natural resources.

I only use infrequently.... so no idea how accurate their 'comprehensive & up to date' claim is!

FAOLEX

and on this link you have link to N-lex which is a link for all EU-contries legislation. Not all in English but.... :-)

I actually just sent Simon a suggestion on this.  He had asked me a question related to the United States and I suggested we have a Government Regulatory section that lists major government regulatory bodies that information can be discussed inside.  It could help people outside of a region learn more about where they export to or import from.

Good idea, especially as BRC V7 would like you to ensure that your labelling meets the requirements of the country you are exporting to.

For Packaging Laws, I use this site

http://www.packaginglaw.com

They have updated laws for most countries.

Dear Madam,

Further to our previous email and after verification with our responsible services, we inform you that the problem reported is indeed known: unfortunately N-Lex doesn't work for some countries, at the moment.

Our services are trying to make the connections available again, but this could still take some time.

Thank you for your understanding.

Best regards,

And I`ve just had this mail from N-Lex. The service does not work for all contries yet
