Hi all,
Is there really a way to find out the whereabouts of a consignment that is exported to European Union (To find out Whether it is released to the market or not with out contacting the importer- Looking for an official confirmation),
Thanks,
KPS.

Dear KPS,
Pls clarify slightly.
A consignment of what ? by sea ?
The only obvious comment is that if is "stopped" at import control due to some unsatisfactory FS cause, you will probably know very rapidly (from yr importer). (The EU have a "Rapid Alert" notification system across their constituent member countries).

Hi Charles,
It was a frozen fish fillet consignment via sea. We have been informed by the customer that the Veterinary dept. has drawn samples from the consignment for the analysis of Heavy metals. Now we would like to know the authenticity of this information and the current whereabouts. Of course if it is detected with heavy metals above the allowable limit , the consignment must have appeared in the RASFF PORTAL of Europa but that is not the case,
Thanks,
KPS

Have you tired contacting the transport company? They should have a record of whether it was delivered to your customer or not.
I'm entitled to my opinion, even a stopped clock is right twice a day

HI Trubertq,
In fact the consignment has reached the destination. Here I am looking for something like the details of CVED (Common Veterinary Entry Document) which is issued after the consignment has gone through all the checks and test by the border inspection ports authority. Is there any website which publishes the details of the consignment in the country of sales including its checks and test results?
Kind regards,

I fear highly unlikely. Sounds like internal material. Normally it's only failures which are publicized. ![]()
Might depend on the Country though.
