Hello Charles

BRC ??

i assume the 4th one means that chemicals related are not applied directly to the product.

The first two categories are typically handled within "Supplier Approval".

Basically the supplier has to provide documentation that the chemicals are safe/suitable for use in a food processing facility. Some standards specifically require confirmatory MSDS data sheets on site.

Is the laundry external ? If so, I think the typical laundry requirement for clothing is that a swab test conforms to agreed micro. limits. Chemical residues i don't recall seeing mentioned offhand.

Kind Regards,

Yes Charles, the BRC

you are right not directly applied

the Laundry internally

so do you have an example form for this Chemical Risk assessment .

Thanks

You primarily have to address the list of requirements of sec.4.9

This involves a number of SOPs and forms, eg a list of approved suppliers/services/their products/their documentation/their receiving control/their product application.

And yes but the material is unfortunately proprietary.

Kind Regards,

Is this any use?

You also need a gate procedure whereby nobody can change a chemical, supplier or purchase a complete new chemical without going through a process of review (go/no go) and adding to this list if acceptable and all MSDS and specifications received.
