Hi

 

Does anyone have an example of a cleaning procedure for a forklift truck and a pallet truck please?

Hi Kirsty,

 

Normally I would include in a checklist or procedure with other items such as safety and glass control checks if they have lights etc.

 

The main issue normally is grease from the forks:

Procedure - Wipe Down Forks with a Clean Cloth at start of shift
Check -  Clean & Free from Grease/Oil Before Loading/Unloading

Since the location/details of use are unknown, I might suggest that the FLT should be "sufficiently" cleaned that it will not impart any hazardous contamination to contacted goods.
