Taking place:
Friday, October 14, 2016 - 03:00 PM - 04:00 PM UK Time
This is a 10.00 AM Eastern US Start

Presenter:
George Howlett, CEO, Safefood 360°

Webinar Overview:
Did you know that the BRC Food Standard refers to risk assessment nearly 100 times, but offers almost no advice on how these risk assessments should be carried out? This presentation offers an extensive analysis of risk assessment under BRC, and it provides you with a full breakdown of all areas where the BRC standard requires you to carry out a risk assessment. Up until now, there has been little guidance available on how to risk assess non-HACCP elements of your food safety management system; elements such as cleaning and auditing programs. To improve the situation, this presentation gives solid, easy-to-follow advice on how to carry out the risk assessment of these items in a systematic way.

Karin : In my view this means a risk assessment and should also include hygienic design of new equipment. My question is- why is this seldomly audited by the BRC auditors?

Naimisha : i cant see video

gorti : Hello Mr. Simon

Simon Timperley : if youtube is blocked then you cannot watch

Simon Timperley : hi Gorti

gorti : How are you Mr. Simon

Simon Timperley : I'm great Gorti thanks.  Well the fact my laptop crashed 5 minutes prior. :-) how are you?

Theophilus Fon  : Karin, this should be covered under prerequisite program equipment. Auditing is a sampling process so if that is not covered then the auditor missed that one in their sampling plan.

Farman : BRC standards are more in useful in traditional manufacturing

Harsha Rohila : How is BRC risk assessment scheme different from FSSC 22000? Both have application based out of HACCP principles.

Robert : These seminars are excellent especially if you are in Year 1  of BRC implementation

Mike : risk assessment on  management committment?  that has not been required for us in BRC

Karin : Hi Austin, thanks for reply - problem is that it is easy to prove equipment can be cleaned shortly after installation, but still biofilm is seen building up over 3-6mths if the design is not right

Rajesh : How about the control of radiological hazards ? Are there any specific guidelines that our suppliers needs to follow to meet BRC as well as FSMA compliane ?

christos : Any differences on RA beetween HACCP and BRC?

Dian : Karin: risk assessment must include the risk assessment for the equipment.. For example if the new product contain different allergen material then there will be risk of cross contamination of allergen.. then by this risk assessment the company should consider to make some procedure to prevent it..

Dian : usually auditor do the audit and just make sure whether the HACCP team already give permission for the new ddevelopment.. if any risk identified they will do futher investigation on the risk assessment..

Farman : Christos RA is a general term, Haccp and BRC is a food safety system

Adnan qaisar : Farman BRC stand for?

gorti : Fine Simon just listening to webinar.

Jack : British Retail Consortium

Farman : BRC are those standards which are use in non HACp system or fre haccp safety

Adnan qaisar : ya i know that what is the abbrivation

Richard : what if cleaning is done after each production run, do you still need a RA?

christos : Farman I agree with you, but both systems (HACCP nad BRC) use RA. Is there a differnce in those two RA?

Tanya : even after cleaning swab tests are coducted to ensure no allergen transfer happens between different products. They conduct ATP swabs depending on the product

Vickie : Thanks

Christopher : Excellent presentation!

Sabina : Thanks George
