Hello everyone,
Firstly, I have been browsing the boards for a few days and it looks like a great place to be a part of.
Have come here to get as much advice as I can to help us achieve our BRC Packaging and Packaging Materials: Issue 5 certification.
I've worked within the print industry for 25 years, predominantly in the litho print sector. Due to redundancy, I've moved to a print finishing house. This new company has never undertaken any standards before, so I expect a challenge.
The company I now work for recently invested in a Kama Pro Fold. There certainly seems to be much more profit in carton folding and gluing than there is in flat sheet folding and stitching lines. Knowing this, we've decided to move into carton packaging for food cartons and the like. This will be for non-direct contact with food, i.e. carton sleeves for micro meals etc.
I'm sure in time to come, that I'll be able to offer input on these forum boards but for now, I'm going to soak up as much info as I can.
Thank you and I look forward to spending time here.
Mark.
