Hi everyone,

Just curious what textbooks/references you keep in your QA library that you find useful? I've been working on building ours up in the last year, currently I have:

NSF Haccp for Managers

FSPCA PCQI Training Manual

Compendium of Methods for the Microbiological Examination of foods (5th ed.)

Standard Methods for the examination of water and wastewater (22nd ed)

Food Packaging: Principals and Practice (3rd ed.)

Technology of Bottled Water (3rd ed.)

I'd like to add soon:

Microorganisms in foods 8 (NACMCF)

Microfiltration and Ultrafiltration Membranes for Drinking Water (M53), Second Edition: AWWA Manual of Practice

I find the compendiums particularly helpful since they're referenced in the CFR and many guidance documents, so they're an awesome resource to tell regulators what the current scientific opinion is from the sources they cite. (e.g. "indicator organisms"). Microorganisms in foods has excellent sampling plans for investigative testing and explains the statistics behind them.

What references do you have for research, validation, or general education?
