Where to find UK legal Salmonella requirements?

Hi

 

Please can somebody advise......

 

Can somebody confirm and where I can find the legal (UK) requirements if Salmonella is found on a carcass after swabbing the five for the week.

Thanks for the attachment but i have this, but it is not clear on what to do for primal cuts.

 

I have spoken with our on site vet and he said he will have to look into this.

 

I just thought I may of missed a standard

Carcasses > Primal Cuts ?

 

There seems to be some confusion.

 

I think you maybe need an EHO in addition to a vet.

Hi aps,

 

JFI I enclose a rather impressive/detailed presentation with example of the microbiological limits/ cumulative monitoring procedure for meat (carcasses,primal cuts etc) production in S.Africa (2010) with respect to APC, Salmonella, etc.

 

EU requirements are mentioned in the intro. but it is not stated as to whether numbers/methodology shown are actually compatible. (I didn't compare to the data/limits in my previous attachment).

 

Hopefully of some interest.
