This is what i've put together for my food defense plan

Hi gagansain,
I assume you are not attracted to the methodologies for VA presentation suggested by SQF's Guidance material. Some people have liked the ssafe/pwc approach therein although it appears to me to demand a substantial effort unless the menus are truncated. Then again, i am not aware of any explicitly "simple" solutions and probably neither are SQF. It's a bit like HACCP, ie subjectivism reigns.
If you have a look around the forum I think you will see a variety of potential SQF solutions for VA described but as yet no complete "templates" / specific examples. i daresay SQF will currently accept almost any procedure whose output contains the Code's textually mandated data.
Unfortunately the conceptual approach for presenting Vulnerability Assessments suggested/detailed by BRC appears to not be favored by SQF. Surprise, Surprise !
Kind Regards,

Hello Gagainsaini,
I would not recommend to include Fraud in the HACCP Plan.
The main reason, is that in the case of Food Fraud we are dealing with unknown hazards (sometimes no hazards at all) and risks. So it is not possible to use HACCP in order to define control measures or acceptable limits.
As with Food Defense, you need to assess the vulnerability of your company in relation to the food fraud risk.
At IFS, we recommend to start this vulnerability assessment with the raw materials, ingredients..... and then to address the supplier risk within one type of raw material, ingredient.
Furthermore, by focussing on Food Safety related risks, you may miss food fraud risks that may have a big impact on quality, legality of your products.
best regards

Hi Scampi,
Perhaps the reverse named Procedures ?
Albeit IIRC FDA's "Vulnerability Assessment" equals GFSI's "Food defense". Just to simplify things.

@gagansain
As per Post 6 it is not usual to include Food Fraud in the (traditional) HACCP Plan since (except for the maverick SQF) this would mix together safety and non-safety "hazards".

I do not like having to add it at all. Sigh, because one area of the world has decided that this sort of thing would/could occur on a grand scale they've forced into the entire scheme to make that area happy.....but i digress

An accurate digression IMO. It's going to be another OPRP-type windfall for the Consultants.
