MOHAMED MAGDY ELBEHERY : Why confdential reporting?
Narongchai Yookittichai : 1.1.6 is target to respond to "A law on whistleblowing in the UK, the Employment Rights Act 1996 (as amended by the Public Interest Disclosure Act 1998). This law defines what whistleblowing is. The term whistleblowing means ‘making a disclosure’ or ‘blowing the whistle’. Basically, telling someone about a ‘wrongdoing’, which most of the time, happens at work"

Iman ELBorolos  : kundly please disscuss little quite to write notes
Vremes Florin : how about  pest control?
John Figgins : A suggestion box can be used for a confidential reporting system in clause 1.1.6. Or an anonymous telephone or email. But handing a report to HR would not be confidential and would therefore not be acceptable. @
sharlene harrison : please could these forms be made available, as the font is too small on presentation to look closely
Narongchai Yookittichai : US has raised that either HACCP Codex or other HACCP/HARPC regulation can be used for BRC certified that why it looks like upgrading to HARPC.

Melissa Valladares : I would like a copie of the slides as well,
Mahmoud  Al-Husseini  : yes.
Narongchai Yookittichai : Syed Haider Abbas Kazmi, FSSC is one of GFSI Recognized.
Bruce Perkin : Hi Simon, perhaps a deeper dive into selected sections might be useful? Seems there is way too much detail here to do the subject justice, so it feels too fast and too superficial
Melissa Valladares : is there a website were we can take a look at the example documents?
Simon Timperley : Everyody will be emailed the recording and slides afterwards
CAVIT PUSAT : FSSC 22000 yes Syed
MARCO GIACOMO BUELLI : only fssc 22000 is fully recognized by GFSI

Maria  Matine : what the BRC stand for now
Sarah  Kerubo : Am kindly requesting soft copy of the slides
Syed Haider Abbas Kazmi : thank you Narongchai
Syed Haider Abbas Kazmi : thank you All
John Figgins : Roberto - the vulnerability assessment for food fraud and food defence for malicious contamination are separate risks and can be treated separately
Simon Timperley : All documents shown are part of the BRC 8 documentation package IFSQN sells. See sidebar.
Tracey Lomax : I still can't reconnect, to the video feed@
Narongchai Yookittichai : https://www.ifsqn.co...agement-system/
Simon Timperley : What browser Tracey?
Dominic Furey : couldn't hear or see webinar

Vremes Florin : the best forum !
Iman ELBorolos  : If i finished my master degree at Microbiology on meat products ,can i finish my phd at food science and technology or it becomes a problem?
Simon Timperley : Why thank you Vremes
Simon Timperley : Iman, ask your question on the forum  www.ifsqn.com/forum
Cordell Price : corky@fsmginc.com How will the Food Safety Culture requirement be evaluated as compliant during he BRC audit?  Examination of documentation sufficient?  How is the effectiveness measured?
Iman ELBorolos  : ok,thanks Mr.Simon
sini menon : nothing to worry Iman..proceed with your phD in food science
Ivan Z : The use of certain control measures or tools (detectable metal pens) should be based on risk assessment.
John Figgins : Pens need to be controlled to prevent risk of physical contaminants. If the site has a metal detector then this is an easy way to meet this clause as the metal detector will reject product. However, if the site hasnt got a metal detexctor then it would not add value to have metal detectable pens. The clause says e.g. so metal detection is an example of how to achieve.
Iman ELBorolos  : ok,thanks Sini
RAVINDER KAUR : I guess connection problem, can't see anything on my screen
Simon Timperley : Ravinder did you just join us?
Narongchai Yookittichai : John Figgins, thanks.
vijayakumar Packirisamy : it shows connection peoblems?
jane Omojokun : Connection is really poor
Simon Timperley : If you have connection problems make sure you use chrome or firefox browsers with clean temporary files cache
Simon Timperley : Connection is fine.
Surender Bhandari : now its ok
John Figgins : Auditor assessment of culture plan - is there a document? Are activities being completed? To the correct timescales? Are the site reviewing the effectiveness of activities they have completed? The auditor will therefore look at documents eg the plan and talk to staff (both senior manager and staff around the site). Other examples, will depend on the site's plan, for example, if the site policy states we put the information on a notice board then the auditor will check the notice board.
anita ahmad : if I produce both allergen product and non allergen product, does it necessary to validate the sanitizing process to ensure the allergen has removed? Or it's Ok if we put allergen information on label
Iman ELBorolos  : labelling systems vary from country to another ,how to escape this problem to avoid rejecting food products ?
Syed Haider Abbas Kazmi : you should validate the sanitizing process to ensure the allergens free product with labelling
Cordell Price : Corky@fsmginc.com In 3.5.1.2 supplier audits it states that when a company uses a third party audit to approve a supplier, you have to demonstrate the competency of the third party auditor.  How should this be done?  How will it be audited?
Simon Timperley : Iman, you need to understand the countries labelling requirements and comply with them
Narongchai Yookittichai : Can you give the example on how to know the supplied raw materials are in the scope of GFSI Certified as most of them use the generic scope, not specific raw material name?
Rosalie Bacea : when will be the effectivity of version 8 commence? is it immediately after August 1, 2018 after the issue? or we still have grace period for adjustment and revision.
Iman ELBorolos  : ok,done Mr,Simon
Tracey Lomax : medical screening, is that a confidental issue
Narongchai Yookittichai : Today 01 Feb 2019 effective date for BRC8
John Figgins : Narongchai - check the scope and the exclusions from scope and ensure that the material comes from the certificated site .
Lupita Mondragon : For BRC, what is the difference among correction (in definitions), corrective action (2.11 and 3.7) and preventive action(3.7)?
Rosalie Bacea : .
Robin Bozeman : Thank you so much, It was very helpful
Iman ELBorolos  : Thank you very much,It was beneficial
DOREEN HOUGH : food culture plan same as a stratigic plan and how will it be monitored or audited
Syed Raza : My key concern  is food safety culture. How do you think that model suggest by GFSI working group is the right path to adopt
MOHAMMED ABUBAKAR : can you please throw more light on the risk based  justification
Hagar  Fathy  : thank you so much for your time
Iryna Dyachenko : Hello, what is the reference of the air sampling limits mentioned for the packaging material?
Amit Kheradia : I'm in awe of this standard, it should be called BRC Standard for Food Safety, Quality, Legality and Integrity. But I'm more concerned about start-up companies and small enterprises who need to take baby steps first. Does BRC have a Fundamentals program focusing on food safety?
Luke McGuire : thank you guys, very informative
Iryna Dyachenko : pack area
Ramadan Attia : could you please send webinar presentation on email
John Figgins : Amit - we have a START! programme for small companies or those that need help taking smaller steps
Narongchai Yookittichai : Amit Kheradia, there is BRC START standard for SMEs (previously BRC Global Market scheme)
Susan Herod : I appreciate the 1 hour review- it was a year ago that I took an Implementing BRC class- we're still working on it and we came in at the same time the changes were made. Glad to see exactly what the changes to focus on are. Very helpful!
Amit Kheradia : John Figgins - thanks, is there a link
Amit Kheradia : ... for information on START?
Syed Haider Abbas Kazmi : correction is an immediate action taken
hamid ziena : In the RA is it important to write the name of all micromes or just write microbial cont. ?
John Figgins : https://www.brcgloba...d-safety/start/
Cristina Otal : Thank you. Iwould like to have the link presentation to reviwe.
Iryna Dyachenko : Thank you, I wanted to ask about the environmental limits mentioned on the slide for the packaging area
Amit Kheradia : Thank you - John Figgins!
Ramadan Attia : can you mention tools or examples for implement food safety & quality culture.
Michael Peralta : BRC redefined primary packaging to include a product label, even if it does not contact the actual product (such as the label on a plastic soda bottle). Does this mean we should have full traceability of labels such as tracking lot numbers and usage?
Narongchai Yookittichai : Will the EMP be implemented in the low risk area?
agnethe selvik : would it be correct to claim that if u do not identify any CCPs in your process, u would not have the need or basis to create a HACCP-plan?
Deepty Gopal : in risk assessment what are the categories of hazards we need to include
Ximmena Cuervo A : ¿Is the BRC Issue 8 Implementation Package available in Spanish?
Amit Kheradia : Good information, very detailed! Thanks, Tony and Simon
Luisa Barros : great
DOREEN HOUGH : so we need culture plan and a stratigic plan
Parmeshwar Bhingole : is it necessary to maintain documentation (HACCP ) of outsourced process in BRC
Jamie Stewart : THANK YOU, FOR ALL THE INFO
MUKESH RAIKWAR : how can we make strong confidential reporting system ?
Mahmoud  Al-Husseini  : do we need to modify all the HACCP plans to comply with codex almontarus methodolgy
Syed Raza : What about GFSI model for Food Safety Culture? Does it meet the BRC requirements?
Aisling  Corcoran  : if you identify something as a ccp does all prodcut have to go through it  or can you have exclusions?
Deepty Gopal : In risk assessment ,what the categories of hazard we should include?
Narongchai Yookittichai : Mahmoud Al-Husseini, any HACCP method can be used if it is equivalent to Codex.
Ramadan Attia : if use traded product, site can use BRC logo
Deladem Dzikunu : how offen should personnel training be done?
Claire Lozarita : what is the best strategy for the environmental monitoring
Narongchai Yookittichai : Deladem Dzikunu: Logo is not allowed for Traded Goods
MOHAMMED ABUBAKAR : Is confidential reporting system the same as trade secrete?
Syed Raza : GFSI model for Food Safety Culture? Does it meet the BRC requirements
Maxine Campbell : Is BRC now closer to the requirements of FSMA
MUKESH RAIKWAR : is validation required for confidential reporting system
Iryna Dyachenko : What is the frequency of a training for HACCP Team members? Shall it be internal or external?
Claire Lozarita : Thank you
Narongchai Yookittichai : I heard that Codex HACCP will be revised to Rev.05 - 2019 or 2020
David Levy : Thanks!
Amit Kheradia : Syed ... there is a position paper by GFSI on Food Safety Culture at: https://www.mygfsi.c...ood-safety.html
Claire Lozarita : what are the best programs for the PCQI on BRV v8
Sally Higgins : there is a codex review taking place and it has had limited distribution so far
Narongchai Yookittichai : Thanks
Arturo Murillo : Thanks
Claire Lozarita : Thanks Simon, Thanks Tony
sini menon : thank you
Amit Kheradia : Thanks
Ana Karina Loor : Thanks!!!!
Michael Greene : Thank you.
Roberto Mendez : Thanks John Figgins. I mean  when ai do a HACCP i have to do a risk anlyisis , before a food defense plan do i have to do any analysis ?

Jean-Yves  Courbin : Thank you
Martin Drewery : Many thanks
agnethe selvik : Thank u from Norway and have a great weekend :-)
