Hello people,
I have a question about this requirement from BRC Packagin Materials:
4.9.2.3 - Snap-off blade knivess shall not be used
As there is no official translation of the BRC into Portuguese, there is a great doubt as to which type of knife this topic prohibits its use.
Below the types of blades used in Brazil.

Hi Erika the knife in the photo is one with snap off blades. Once the blade at the end is blunt you break it off and then use the next one. These small blades pose a higher risk of contamination and so this type of snap off blade knife cannot be used.

We are a manufacturer of food packaging and we have always used this type of knife (cutter) but the blades are of the non-fragmentable type. We have a strict control of them by the operators and periodic inspections are carried out to ensure that the control and elimination procedure is complied with.
We have never had food safety issues as a result of this tool and after seven years with BRC certification, no auditor has opened NC to us for using this type of tool.
