I have it outlined quite simply in the SOP, see below:
2.5.13 PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
XXXXX has a product design & development procedure for new product and changes to products or manufacturing processes to ensure safety and legality of products produced. NOTE: This procedure applies only to XXXX brand products. Private label products are subjects to brand owner standards and product development procedures. Product development procedures include the following, if necessary:

It includes a Product Development Module to compliment the Food Safety Management System documentation:

Sorry for the delay in responding to this (sutha)
The packages are only sold as a whole, there is no mechanism to sell separately.
If you only want the development portion and some guidance on development then a cheaper option is via e-consultancy

- Evaluation of impact of the change on FSMS taking into account any new food safety hazards introduced, if any, and updating the hazard analysis accordingly, if necessary
- Consideration of impact, if any, on the process flow for a new product and existing products and processes
- Resources and training, if needed
- Equipment and maintenance requirements
- The need to conduct plant trial, including shelf life study, to validate that product formulation and processes are capable of producing a safe product and meet customer requirements
Is this OK for FSSC External audits?. Thanks a lot for your kind guidance.

Hi Basnayaka; Sorry, I don't get your question: are you asking if it's OK for external audits? Then - yes, it is, provided that you're doing what's written in your program or SOP.
