If we use GMO microorganisms for fermentation is the food considered GMO?

If we use, GMO microorganism for fermentation, is that food also considered GMO?

That would depend on your country regulation. However, generally if one of the ingredients is GMO then the whole product is considered GMO. Though, the amount of bacterial culture is usually neglectable...

If you were going for a cert such as Non -Gmo The allowance is 10% and they will still consider it non gmo -- frankly we find that stupid especially to the non gmo purists.
