Biolog and Microbial Identification at Trace Analytics

Took Place:
Friday, November 19, 2021

Presenter:
Maria Sandoval, Lab Director, Trace Analytics LLC

Webinar Overview:
Microbial identification can be an important part of the monitoring process. It is of critical importance to know if your compressed air is contaminated with microbes, but some manufacturers wish to take that analysis even further to uncover the species of the microbe. Trace Analytics’ lab director, Maria Sandoval will explain how the Biolog can provide further answers for manufactures facing microbial contamination.

Mario Arauzo : What about of ISO 17025, to support a laboratory
Liene Strauta : How and would you define 'at rest' and 'at work' status for swab (sponge etc.) microbiological analyses. Would it depend only of it's in use and/or people in the room or would it depend on the readiness for work?

Olufemi Olatoye : Great
Nancy de Guzman : How far is the price difference per test sample using Biolog  and other rapid test such as Petrifimolm

Olufemi Olatoye : What is the turnaround time for the test
Richard Kathanan : Hi Maria, I might have missed this in your presentation.  How much is the cost per test using biolog system and what's the turn around for results?
Justice Bhekizulu Sifelani Sifelani : Hi Simon. There are lots of Questions on  the Q&A side bar
Laxman Kanduri : Do you have a turnkey type of service where you provide all the necessary kits with the specific media and the actual t
Tamika Ali : In your opinion, is basic ATP swabbing sufficient daily verification for C&S?
Stephen Bulow : As I send out our samples for testing and I dont do it in lab at the plant. It was VERY informative of what is being done with the samples I send out. Thanks for the great webinar.
Jorge Branco : Hi. What are the conditions to the transport of the sampling mediuns?
Martha Hartley : Please: For a new meat sausage production, what will be type of organisms do we need to test for and how often
graham cox : Thanks Maria - very clear presentation.
Laxman Kanduri : Do you have a turnkey type of service wherein you provide the test media plates etc and the actual testing is done in your labs?
F. M. Aminuzzaman : Thanks Maria for very informative presentation
Jide Okedeji : Is it possible to get this slide after the lecture?
sabina de nitto : very clear presentation
Nkechi Ezeugwu : what can we use as benchmark mark to monitor contaminants in compressed air in pastry production ?
Ian Reader : If making a plant based food like oat milk where gram positive pathogens are less high risk and yeasts and fungi are more relevant like DON/  ZON / aflatoxins and other Fumosins then is phenotype testing is beneficial to detect all types of activity on finished food type?
Nate Krepp : I am also wondering on approximate cost of the 66 micro plate
Jorge Branco : Hi. What are the conditions to the transport of the sampling mediuns?
Ian Reader : If making a plant based food like oat milk where gram positive pathogens are less high risk and yeasts and fungi are more relevant like DON/ ZON / aflatoxins and other Fumosins then is phenotype testing is beneficial to detect all types of activity on finished food type?
Iryna Dyachenko : Hello, what types of microorganisms are tested in the condensation from the ceiling?
Simone Kummerlöwe : Thanks for the great presenetation
Maria Galino : where can we get information about reference figures for number of micros allowed in every environment?
Mark Anjoe Bosea : wn What is the best method for Measurement of Uncertainty, bottom up or buttom doe
Aswati Eliana : For control air quality, is it effective using HEPA Filter ? if yes, what the size should be ?
Nancy de Guzman : How far is the difference in cost per sample using biolog vs other rapid test such as petrifilm
Alexander Kind : where I can find email of lecturer?
Liene Strauta : I would like to clarify. Swabs could be used for hard to get places and sedimentation plates for particle free areas. But wouldn't one show the contamination of surfaces and the other of air? Could they be used equally? (One in the place of another?)
Laxman Kanduri : Is your lab limited to only air and not a product?
graham cox : Thanks again - I have to duck out to a meeting.
Cherno Assan Jallow Jallow : very good
Liene Strauta : Thank you for the nice presentation and answers.
Stephen LEE : Thank you
Laxman Kanduri : Thanks for a great presentation
