David Ranko : Any of the trade body or customer standards refer to metal test piece sizes, is there a risk assessment or an official guideline what what of test pieces to be used for  a specific product? In my case it would be pork and chicken sausages with 40mm high trays, the weight range is between 300 and 1200g. or should we just go with the X-ray equipment's manufacturer's recommendation?

Alyssa j : Our product has multiple challenges.  We have glass with metal lids and variable sized contents (tomatoes, jalapenos, onions).  Would the x-ray be likely to find a 1.5 mm thick piece of plastic, ~ 1" square?
