Good day and hi all,

May i know which tests are suitable to define whether the plastic used able to withstand repeatly reuse for steaming and cooling process? Which regulations should i refer to (on the acceptance limit)?

   The situation is as below:

HDPE plastic is used to cover the bottom of steaming tray and over the product (plastic direct contact with food) during the steaming process (in steaming chamber). The steam products are fishery and chicken-based product. A layer of oil or sometimes using water apply on the steaming tray to let plastic stick on it and before product put in it. After that, the product will be cover with another layer of plastic. The range of steaming temperatures are 90°C - 95°C while steaming periods are 20- 60 mins. After the steaming process, the whole trolley of product will pull out for cooling. After the cooling, product will be removed out from the trays and the plastic as well as the trays will be reused again (around 10 times - repeat process - steam to cool to steam to cool ...)

 Thanks.
