Dear All,

Can some one please list any info on getting the legislation and latest advancements sources. we are a Campden BRI member and would like to opt out this year due to financial constraints. We are a bakery located in UK supplying to UK for the moment.

It would be great if some one can provide any cost effective memberships, trade associations that we can join?. we are already getting alerts from FSA. any other bodies that we can join to get the latest developments and up to date legislations?.

any help is appreciated?.

Sam

Hi Sam

Here are some of the free sources we use that may be of use,

Foodlaw-Reading - University of Reading, UK - provides an update on UK and EU food safety acts, legislation, and general news updates

Resources Archive - FoodChain ID - run free webinars and general food safety newsletters

Sign up now to receive monthly updates on FAO publications! - Publish a monthly newsletter highlighting rising issues

We operate in seafood so the other sources we use will likely be no use

Greetings Sam,

To add on the previous post you can go to eur-lex.europa.eu and create an account. Then search the legislation that is related to your business and set up RSS alerts by saving and following them.

This way you will get notices when there are any updates (amendments, replacements, withdrawals etc). This way it will be more personalized and don't get generic notifications eg like honey labelling updates that don't concern you.

From there you can also check the Journal section from time to time for new articles that may concern you.

Regards!
