Hi,

We are a coffee roaster and are having problems with our headspace analyzer. This morning, we found out that it is too old for repairs and a new one is over $8,000. Currently using Mocon PacCheck 450 and CheckMate 3.

Can anyone recommend a solid brand and model for replacement?

Thanks,

Nathan

Commenting because I priced out a Checkmate 3 early last year.

Looking at the Ametek website, The Checkmate 3 only recently stopped production. (December 2023)

There is a service request form through Ametek Mocon that lists analyzers as far back as the original Checkmate.

https://www.ametekmo...e-request-forms

Was it a 3rd party that said it can't be repaired? Might be worth double checking with Ametek Moton.

We had a shady supplier say the same thing, but I was able to get repairs straight from the manufacturer.

Sorry I can't give any other recommendations. Our project ended without purchasing.

I have only used the Manufacturer for calibration and repairs. This information came directly from them. Our sister plant is experiencing the same issues and they were told the same thing yesterday.

Darn. Sorry to hear that.

Hopefully someone will be able to recommend a suitable replacement.

We have CO2/O2 and CO2/CO/O2 meters. We have used Mocon, Felix and Bridge machines for the various tests.

Felix - takes forever to get back for repairs/re-calibration. However, easy to use.

For a new CO/O2 machine - we are going with Bridge. The only issue - out of stock on their website.

This is all based upon price, ease of use and turn around time for repairs.

They have the O2 meter in stock. They are more bulky/larger than other machines.
