Mind you this is exclusively for carcass. All the other regular Petri films are read as they appear, no further calculations.

Ah ok, but still, explain for me, is it per cm2 of the carcass area swabbed or per cm2 of the petrifilm?

Why does it make a difference using petrifilm?

Area swabbed.

What do you mean why it makes a difference? Why does it get multiplied by 0.03? It has to do with dilution factor and carcass rinse.

So it's from a rinse not a swab? But it says swab? Still not getting it. But I've been off topic enough!

The best-sourced document is above for reference; The UCL/LCL should be based on historical trended data results, with your limits set accordingly.

Thank you. That now makes sense.

What is with the tone of people's responses to me recently on here? What is it I've done wrong Tony and others that you forget there is a real person? It's sad.

I wrote two replies yesterday but deleted them both. I was confused and asking questions. I finally had time to look at the link and it made some sense albeit not with the responses previous people added which still don't make sense to me.

But to be honest, I was quite hurt. So what if I didn't have time to look at a link before? Does that matter? I'd kind of hope we'd like people who ask questions and try to understand as Technical people. But yesterday and today feels like I've obviously p---ed off you and others on here for some reason. If I have it's unintentional.

Wow.

The comment wasn't directed at you GMO, it was a general comment.

Apologies if you thought it was directed at you and took it personally.

Kind regards,

Tony
