Dear Simon,

Just to orientate the international audience, 2 of Salford’s other claims to fame are –

The nearest professional football team to Salford is Manchester United F.C.

One of its residents, past and/or present is, surprise-surprise, Ryan Giggs.

Kind Regards,

Correct and correct again. My Mother and Father were born and bred in Salford (tough as nails), I was born at Hope Hospital in Salford, but brought up in Clifton (soft as sh....., which is sort of half way between Manchester and Bolton. As I'm from Greater Manchester I'm within my rights to support Man United, unlike the 99% of other Manchester United supporters from London, South Wales, Japan, New Zealand, outer Mongolia...

I used to go in a pub called the Bridgewater in Worsley and have seen Giggsy and many other Man U players in there over the years, Mark Hughes, Eric Cantona.

By the way are there any Universities in Africa, even Ghana, where I can send some the boys for short term courses in food science?

Also consider Michigatn State's Master's Program. I thought it was great!
