A GMP/QA system for food contact materials and articles is now law in the EU
Commission Regulation (EC) No 2023/2006
I know this regulation has been mentioned previously on the forums, but I just wanted to raise it again as it is quite significant. By GMP / QA system I am assuming the BRC Packaging Standard or ISO 9001 system with hygiene procedures built on top would suffice. Whether or not certification is held. Seems a strange little regulation. Is there an equivalent for food?
