I woulk like to have information on how i can conduct hazard analysis where glass botteles and jars are primary packing .

Interesting question!!!

IMO, your policy should focus on three points. Quantity, Quality and Incidents of glassware.

Quantity:
- Control of received, used, separated (due to defects or other reason) quantity.

Quality:
- Control of broken or cracked glassware. Preventive measure to avoid such defects.

Incident:
- Control of situation when glassware is broken or cracked at the time of receiving or storage or in production areas.

Good points from Zeeshan.

You should start your hazard analysis with a process flow diagram.

Control measures like inversion/rinsing will be important and so will an assessment of the risk and extent of possible contamination when a breakage occurs.

Just the same, work on exclusion of all other glass and checking any that you can't exclude plus controlling the glass packaging that you do use - handling, quality of packaging & control of breakages.

Thanks Tony for adding valuable inputs. I wish to summarize all as follows:

1- Quantity Control (from receiving of empty glass wares to secure packaging of end-product)

2- Quality Control (at the time of receiving, no cracks, not broken)

3- Handling Control (at receiving, storage, processing including rinsing etc. and packaging)

4- Incident Control (controlling situation after finding cracks, after any accidental breakage).
