This morning the loonies in Europe are at it again with new legislation proposals, here are our top ten picks:
A compulsory minimum thickness of Egg shells of 1mm to reduce breakages and Salmonella contamination
A minimum thickness for the skin on Potatoes to prevent Listeria contamination
Black Pudding to have a protected designation of origin and can only be made within 10 kilometers of the Black Sea
Vine tomatoes must only be sold with a certificate to prove they grew on a vine
A product can only be sold as 'Whole Chicken' if the head, feet and inards are intact
'Baked Beans' to be renamed 'Cooked Beans' unless they are baked in the oven
Soups made with more than 50% water to be only sold as 'Water Soup with........'
Products can only be sold as 'Beef' if from the males of the species, rules for veal to remain the same whilst meat from females of the bovine species to be labelled as 'Old Cow'
Similarly products can only be sold as 'Pork' if from the males of the species whilst meat from females of the porcine species to be labelled as 'Old Sow'

You can view more details here.

Apologies if parts came across as being sexist, it's all a bit of 'Old Bull' really!
