Hello all

Can I use and implement ISO 22002- 2- 2013 (Catering) on sweet production company, as there will be different requirements and process steps.

If not, is there another ISO standard I can use instead?

Many thanks

Hi Almaskati,

The answer may depend on (a) why you are seeking PRPs and (b) the details of yr operation.

I assume your "primary" FS standard is either iso22000 or fssc22000.

For iso22000, the source(s) for the prerequisites are defined by yr response to the text in sec. 7.2.3. Various source options may be involved.

For fssc222000 the source for the prerequisites is restricted by the specific requirements of the standard.

For organisations involved with a manufacturing step only,   I believe iso22002-1 is typically the appropriate PRP source for fssc22000.

The scope of iso 22002-2 is given here -

Agree with Charles, if you are a food manufacturer ISO/TS 22002-1 Prerequisite programmes on food safety - Part 1: Food manufacturing is appropriate.

ISO/TS 22002-2:2013 Prerequisite programmes on food safety -- Part 2: Catering scope includes catering, air catering, railway catering, banquets, among others, in central and satellite units, school and industry dining rooms, hospitals and healthcare facilities, hotels, restaurants, coffee shops, food services, and food stores.

Kind regards,

Tony
