Dear All,

Kindly needed your enlightenment, about the frequency testing gluten,,

Is there any requirement that say the frequency must test the gluten every quarterly (every 3 month). please notice me if there any requirement, and if that yes we must test every quarterly please enlightenment me personally why we must test that every quarterly, is that must based on our risk assessment,,

because last year our company already certificate Gluten Free, and want us to test gluten every quarter,

Thank you for enlightenment,

Regards

What does your company produce?

Since you are certified gluten free, then a regular testing requirement sounds entirely reasonably to me.

Who certified you gluten free? If it is a standard then they will have their own requirements. If you as a company are just declaring yourself gluten free, then yes it is risk based.

Risks: do you also process gluten containing ingredients? If yes, how often are your changeovers? What is your sanitation procedure like? Etc etc

For example, we were GFCO certified and also processed gluten containing products. We would test for gluten at the start of every GF production run.
