Hi Everyone,
we are seafood processing company and I have been recently offered by our supplier of cleaning chemicals the product based on peracetic acid as powerful disinfectant. As I never used this product before so I did some research on its uses and drawbacks and I found that it is as effective as chlorine and in some cases more effective than chlorine. but it also has some drawbacks like corrosion of stainless steel equipment and it requires more personal safety precautions when using in the processing area.
If some is already using this product, I need your guidance for its safe and effective use, like generally what precautionary measures should be taken by the person who is applying it (mainly housekeeping staff) and what concentrations are effective against microorganisms.
currently we are using chlorine based disinfectant, so I need your advise that should I need to switch to this new disinfectant? my supplier is claiming 7 log reduction
